Soup's On

What's a gray, cool Autumn day if it isn't for making a nice hearty soup to have with a slice of warm, fresh baked bread?

Whole grains and beans, with garlic, onions, celery, carrots and smoked polish sausage.

I love buying and storing dried mixes like this. The cost of this bag was under $4, and it can easily make 3 meals for a family of 4. Now that's economical!

Fire Logs

With the coolness of Autumn well established here in the Northeast, I've been longing for the cozy ambiance of a crackling fire. So.....for the past week, I've been enjoying watching the glowing embers and listening to the crackling of my newly purchased electric fire logs!

While I do love the warmth and dancing flames of a real fire, this year, I've found the electric fire logs to be a happy solution to enjoying a "fire" all day long, without any fuss or maintenance! ☺

(I purchased my set at Lowe's, for what I thought was a very reasonable price of $40....)

Ye Shall Know....

"And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord."        1 Kings 20:28

Come Walk With Me

Can you imagine taking a walk along this road and
breathing in the fresh, crisp scent of Autumn leaves?

Or how about along this inviting pathway?

How beautifully this red barn sits in contrast to the
gold leaves of Autumn and the cloudless blue sky!

Such a tranquil and inviting view awaits just a bit further down the road.....

The Beauty of Autumn

Today we are cool and rainy with gray skies. But I can dream of sunnier days with the gorgeous display of Autumn colors, and places of quiet retreat.....

And one more that's just too cute to resist!
